A very fresh and fuzzy piece of fluff. Melodic and ethereal yet warm and heavy trip. Very sweetly sweeps you away on some good amplitudes. Diggit!!

Wow!! Was soll ich sagen?! Irgendwie fehlen mir die Worte.... Offen gestanden habe ich eine solche Mixtur von Genres bislang noch nicht gehört. Umso beeindruckter bin ich, was hier entstanden ist... Kommt unglaublich frisch daher. Ein wohlverdienter Eintrag in den Doom Charts Oktober !! Danke nach Berlin !!
"Drenched in filters and fuzz, Living Light combines the warmth and haze of seventies UK psychedelia with the expansive driving riffs of stoner rock."
Psych doom power couple Jan and Sabine Oberg (Earth Ship, Grin) have teamed up with drummer André Klein (Earth Ship, The Smokin’ 44s) to form a new heavy noise rock project called SLOWSHINE. Living Light is the band’s frst musical outing, consisting of eight sweeping tracks that take cues from post punk, stoner rock, sludge, and shoegaze.
"One of 2021’s most encouraging debut albums." - The Obelisk
"Living Light was an unexpected surprise for myself as I fell in love with this album quite quickly and one that has definitely earned a place on my list of Best Albums of 2021." - Outlaws Of The Sun
"Slowshine can be listened to in its entirety without the slightest distraction that would disrupt this sacred moment." - l'Oreille à l'envers
"Living Light manages to immerse the listener in a magnetic field in which psychedelia manages to expand the mind of the listener, caressing, seducing and drugging him. A cell from which any psychedelic lover will never want to escape." - DenpaFuzz
"Living Light is a debut album that deserves to be among the most prestigious of the year." – La Habitación 235
The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
Love the band and all their albums, since I already own this on vinyl I figured I bump it up on the collection list by adding it again since I think it was through their label not the band.
Doomgaze of the highest order. The Midnight Toker.
